Welcome to the era of Agentic Enterprise!

Dreamforce 2025: Day I

After arriving in San Francisco a few days prior to the event and having spent some bonding time together with our team where we enjoyed everything San Francisco and the Bay Area has to offer, it was finally time: Dreamforce 2025 was kicking off!

As a first-time visitor to Dreamforce, the first thing that really hit me was the sheer size of the event: the amount of people who had travelled from across the world to take part in this event was just astounding. For anyone who knows how Salesforce throws events, it comes as no surprise that the event was big. It was loud, it was colourful, and there was a lot to take in—but it was also exciting, fun, and more importantly it was really an inspiring event. We kicked off the first day with the Main Keynote. This was an inspiring session with a heavy focus on AI, Salesforce Agentforce platform, and what Marc Benioff and the Salesforce team call the Agentic Enterprise. If anything became abundantly clear, it was the fact that we are living through a massive shift. We are in a time where AI is no longer a niche product just to play around with or just automate simple standalone tasks; it is becoming a way to work across platforms and throughout your enterprise, or as Salesforce calls it, the Agentic Enterprise.

During the Main Keynote, many of Salesforce's customers presented their view on the Agentic Enterprise and AI. They shared their journey and success implementing AI across their enterprise and gave us their views on what it will look like for them moving forward in their Agentic Enterprise journey. A lot of inspirational stories were shared that made me think about all of our customers: How can we help them become an Agentic Enterprise? But also, how do I personally stay relevant in the age of AI, what is it that I as a Salesforce professional should think about moving forward and where to put effort in when thinking of life long learning in the coming years? One thing that became very clear to me was that you need to get on board: start testing, start disrupting ways of working, start implementing, and start learning to leverage AI. This is the way to stay relevant moving forward, and this is the way to succeed.

After the Main Keynote, it was time to take all of this insight and inspiration and immerse yourself in everything Dreamforce had to offer, from a keynote with Mel Robbins on embracing change and inspiring teams, to sessions on Agentforce ‘Vibes’ (vibecoding in the Salesforce context), discussions on Agent interoperability, A2A (Agent-2-Agent protocol from spearheaded by Google), Agentforce multi-agent architecture, and an Agentic Enterprise deep-dive.

During these sessions, I really gained an understanding of how to think about building agents in the future: it is not just a project; it is ongoing and continuous work that you need to fine-tune and adjust to get maximum results. You should think about how you can connect AI Agents handling tasks in different systems together through the A2A protocol, how to give Agents the right context with MCP (Model Context Protocol), and, by doing this, enable Agents to drive scale while humans drive impact. The goal is not to replace humans but to enable them to do more, faster, and be more efficient. The day continued with queuing for different sessions (there was a lot of queuing), walking around the Dreamforce Campground to learn about new products, and visiting the Trailhead Forest to try new releases and products hands-on and asking questions to experts from Salesforce.

When the first day was drawing to an end, I was left thinking that while it is impossible to take in everything you want from this event purely because of the scope of the event - I mean there are over 1,500 sessions total, it is a privilege to be here. With legs that had taken thousands of steps, spent a lot of time queuing to different sessions to try to absorb as much as possible, we headed back to the hotel, to rest, refuel and prepare for Day 2!
